This large size enamelware tureen dates from the 1930's and features heavy white enameling decorated by a well-defined, blue chicken-wire pattern with navy trim. The overall enamel effect is a rich and visually stunning drop-like relief surface. This type of finish is becoming increasingly hard to find. The color scheme of this piece also makes it easy to blend with existing collection or to stand alone in many styles of decor.
Use as a lovely decorative piece or catch all any where in the house, great for decorative storage. Also a great way to present warm bread rolls the table, country picnic or BBQ Just add a nice cloth napkin and it's perfect for keeping them warm. This will add some rustic french flare to your decor.
This piece is in lovely antique condition with some signs of wear throughout creating a lovely shabby effect. There are some worn areas in the enamel around the rims and the base but it is solid and strong. The interior has some crazing in the enamel and subtle tea staining. See photos for details
