Antique French Cheese Moulds, Stoneware Faiselle Molds, Set of 2
Set of 2 beautiful french antique earthenware cheese moulds. Originally used to form and drain a traditional fresh french cheese known as "faiselle". These two beautiful handmade pieces look stunning together each with a unique dark, burnished glaze that would be beautiful in many styles of decor from traditional country to rustic modern. They can still be used for making your own homemade cheese, but also work well as small plant holders, candle holders, soap or sponge dish, or all around strainer. I often use mine to rinse and serve delicate season berries such as raspberries or blueberries for a lovely presentation and practical storage.
They are both in lovely rustic antique condition with no chips, crack or hairs just the time worn finish and some flaking and wear in the glaze. See photos for details.
