French Vintage White Speckled Enamel Pitcher or Jug - White Graniteware
This is a lovely example of the traditional graniteware motif in white with a very subtle navy speckle. This lovely piece would make a lovely soft touch filled with tall fresh cut flowers for a stunning french inspired still life in you home.
It is in shabby chic vintage condition, watertight, with only faint signs of rust in the bottom interior. The body has some larger spots of enamel loss adding to its rustic charm. See photos for details.
When using for fresh flowers I like to use a glass that fits within to hold the water as I think this will preserve the condition of the piece. Though it is water tight I think it's best to be cautious and caring with these beautiful collectibles.
