This lovely Tureen would be a wonderful addition to any ironstone collection. The mark dates it to the latter part of the 19th century. This is a true antique classic with lovely acanthus leaf-shaped handles and its original lid with a beautiful bud-shaped nob. The age of this piece is beautifully apparent from an over all tea stained patina that gives it a subtle marbled effect. This simple classic design lends itself to many decor styles and would make a lovely centerpiece display or still-life decorative piece just about anywhere in the house. Bring a bit of old-world french opulence to your space.
This piece is in very nice shabby chic antique condition. It has subtle crazing and tea staining throughout, predominantly in the interior. There are NO cracks, chips or hairs. Please see photos for details.
