If you are like most you love to have spreadable butter at the ready for your morning baguette. This is the answer. Just fill the bell compactly with your favorite butter, fill the base vessel to the brim with cold water and displace the water by gently submerging the bell until firmly sealed, repeat each time when not in use. This will create an airtight seal allowing the butter to remain cool and fresh at room temperature. This small size is great for a standard brick of butter. This stunning piece is in beautiful antique condition, NO chips, cracks, or hairs. There is some subtle tea staining, a small glaze imperfection on the exterior of the bell, some subtle crazing, and signs of age here and there.
