French Enamel Pitcher, Antique Lavender Blue Graniteware Jug
This is a lovely example of the traditional graniteware motif in a unique pale blue with just the slightest hint of lavender with a subtle white speckle and tall slim body. This lovely piece would be stunning when filled with tall fresh cut flowers, imagine some tall white gladiolas in this beauty for a stunning french inspired still life in your home.
It is in lovely shabby chic vintage condition, water-tight, with some enamel loss and rust here and there. Perfectly placed distressing and missing patches of enamel all of which add to the vintage rustic charm.

When using for fresh flowers I like to use a glass or cylindrical vase that fits within to hold the water. I think this will preserve the condition of the piece. Though it is watertight I think it's best to be cautious and caring with these beautiful collectibles.
