This special french wire basket is a lovely example of handmade wire work, and its beautiful oval double-barrelled base or buttocks shape is becoming very hard to find these days. A classic french item originally used for gathering shellfish. It can now be used to decorate or harvest in many ways throughout the house or garden.
Its a sturdy well made piece in very good shabby chic antique condition, there is some subtle wear to the surface, some minor denting in the structure, see photos for details.
