Rare French Antique Small White Ironstone Soup Tureen with Lid, Soup Tureen, AH & Co France, Shabby Chic
Beautiful small-sized white ironstone tureen with its original lid. This lovely piece would be the perfect addition to any ironstone collection. It is stamped on the base "AH & Co v France" (Alfred Hache & Co. Vierzon, France) and dates to the latter part of the 19th century. This is a true antique classic with a lovely acanthus bud and foliage knob and handles. The simple classic design lends itself to many styles of decor and would make a lovely serving vessel, centerpiece display still life, or decorative accent just about anywhere in the house. Bring a bit of old-world french opulence to your space.
★This piece is in good antique shabby chic condition. It has a shallow chip in the edge and base of the foot (only subtly noticeable when placed), a superficial hair in the bottom base, a small carbon speck glaze flaw in the lid and some wear in the glaze throughout. See photos for details.
Overall for the age and type of piece, this is in exceptional condition.
