This is a unique piece as the artisan beautifully integrated the natural veins and fissures of the marble for a stunning organic effect. There are also subtle traces of chisel marks. Nibbled edges that have worn smooth over time give it even more character, and years of grinding in the the interior have created a beautiful patina. A lovely hand-turned hardwood pestle completes the ensemble perfectly. This is one of a kind.
