French Antique Wire Egg Basket, Handmade, Large Size
This special french wire basket is a lovely example of handmade wirework. A classic french country item that can now be used to decorate in many ways throughout the house. This one has a lovely silvery, rusty patina making it a nice complement to many styles of decor. The color allows it to meld well with shabby chic, rustic modern, or farmhouse interiors. It is a nice standard size so it can hold anything from eggs to craft materials, I have even seen them make beautiful candle centerpieces, so many fun ideas.
It is a sturdy well-made piece in very good shabby chic antique condition. There is oxidation and subtle rusting throughout. The wire is wonky and bent in areas giving rustic charm. See photos for details.
